The story begins with Little Flame leaving the matchbox as he didn't want to end up as an ordinary flame lighting up the cigarettes or gas ring.
On his journey he meets many who seek for his help, those who have fire inside themselves and those who had lost it inadventertly - an old Candle, a little Firefly, a spiteful Arsonist, a Prometei...
Finally, he meets a perfect and beautiful White Rose whose touch makes him blaze magnificent.
